From Grass to your Glass!!!

From Grass to your Glass!!!

Children age 9-12 and teenagers age 13-18 should include 5 portions from the dairy group in their diet daily.

In an effort to promote milk consumption and celebrate World Milk Day the Home Economics Department had a colouring competition, students produced amazing work and presented their masterpieces in our school hall.

Winners were announced at assembly and were awarded an art set and of course a carton of milk! How appropriate!

Top tip for including more dairy in your child’s lunchbox: pop frozen berries into a reusable container and top with natural yogurt (the frozen berries will help to keep the yogurt cool until lunch!)

So from grass to your glass the key message is drink more milk!!
